Chris Vann earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Duke University (1990) and his Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina (1993). 

 After serving as a law clerk for Judge James Wynn (North Carolina Court of Appeals) and Judge James Beaty (North Carolina Middle District), Chris went into private practice in 1997. 

In 2005 he formed the Vann Law Firm, P.A.
